Robot Sculpting Workshop
How can you create your own robot easily? This was the question Youth4Youth tried to tackle the week with our students at ESF South Island School and ESF Quarry Bay School. The focus of this week's session was on AI athletes and how AI is currently being used in sports, with case studies on Atlas (a gymnastics, parkour bipedal humanoid robot built by Boston Dynamics) and CUE (a Japanese based robot that was inspired by the anime character 'Shintaro Midoriyama').
In our robotics workshop this week, students teamed up in groups of four to explore Leopoly, a 3D model creation platform. Youth4Youth enjoyed teaching the students how to use this platform to sculpt a part of a robot. It was very exciting to see the 3D models the students created by the end of this session!
